2020 Nissan Rogue Powertrain Review

Let’s start under the hood. The 2020 Rogue offers a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that generates 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque.

This is paired with an Xtronic CVT® (continuously variable transmission) that helps optimize your performance while propelling your fuel efficiency to an EPA-estimated 26 MPG city and 33 MPG highway on certain trim levels.1

It comes standard with front-wheel drive; however, many local drivers prefer to equip their Nissan Rogue with Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD). The Intelligent AWD system monitors your driving conditions and automatically adjusts torque distribution between all four wheels to help improve your traction control.

Intelligent AWD is ideal for snowy wintertime commutes or family camping adventures.

Inside the Nissan Rogue

Next, let’s take a seat inside the cabin. This is a 2-row SUV, so it seats five passengers with ease. It gives you 105.8 cubic feet of total passenger volume for everyone, which also includes the following dimensions:

  • Headroom (front/rear): 41.6 inches/38.5 inches
  • Legroom (front/rear): 43 inches/37.9 inches

Behind the second row, the 2020 Rogue gives you 39.3 cubic feet of trunk space. You can also fold down the rear seats to access the full 70 cubic feet of cargo space.

Of course, you can’t take a seat inside the Nissan Rogue without noticing the standard 7-inch touchscreen display. This touchscreen is part of the NissanConnect® infotainment system, which also includes standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.

Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ allow for full smartphone integration with your vehicle by providing access to optimized apps via your touchscreen display. Accessible apps include navigation, audio books, and internet radio streaming.

Driver-Assistance Technology

Now, let’s take it out for a test drive. When you do, you’ll probably notice the many advanced driver-assist systems that come standard on this model, including:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection
  • Intelligent Lane Intervention
  • Blind Spot Warning

Nissan RogueThese features all come standard and are designed to help enhance your awareness of your surroundings.

Certain trim levels also make ProPILOT Assist available. This smart cruise control system helps decrease fatigue after a long highway drive. Simply press a button to maintain a consistent speed and following distance.

The ProPILOT Assist system will then automatically adjust your cruise control speed to go with the flow of slower moving or stopped traffic. It also keeps you centered in your lane using automatic steering adjustments.
